Metlakatla's Education Program Manager, Sandra Carlick has been nominated as one of Simon Fraser University's most inspiring graduate students over the past 50 years! Congratulations on your huge accomplishment!
Sandra was nominated as 1 of 50 of the most Inspirational Graduates of Simon Fraser University over the past five decades. This year was the universities 50th Anniversary and 50 students out of 22, 000 were nominated as the most inspiriring students, as one per year. Sandra graduated from the Master's First Nations Education Curricululm & Design Program in 1997. She is truly grateful to the Metlakatla Governing Council and Post Secondary Administrator, Brenda Leighton for her sponsorship. She also wants to thank her sister, Debbie Leighton -Stephens who was also enrolled in the MFNEC&D Program, Debbie was so relentless in making sure that she didn't give up.
